Strengthening anchors

White resin injection in bolts and strengthening cables, fast anchoring capacity is achieved, along with protection against corrosion.

Benefits

  • Reduces setting times to provide immediate support.
  • Simple and safe handling.
  • High capacity for load transfer.
  • Adequate for wet soil conditions and terrain with weak rocks.
  • Areas with significant levels of fracture can be consolidated during the process.

Use

  • Anchor bolts and cable bolts

Terrain consolidation

Consolidation injection via resins aims to improve the terrain’s physical properties, including resistance to compression and traction, angle of internal friction, etc.

Benefits

  • Land stabilization.
  • Prevention of rock falls.
  • Increases occupational safety and efficiency.

Uses

  • Pre and post injection.
  • Ahead of the face.
  • Roofs and floors in galleries.

Waterproofing of water flows

Resins come into contact with water, which triggers expansivity and stability over time.

Benefits

  • Counters water inlets that impede progress in exploitation work.
  • Seals waterways in diaclases, fissures and other geological discontinuities.

Uses

  • Control of water filtration in excavations.
  • Underground work.

Cavity fills

Due to the resin’s high indices of expansion, cavities can be properly filled.

Benefits

  • Ensures contention of over-excavation thanks to active support from foam filling.
  • Quick fill of cavities with minimum amounts of the product compared to conventional options that use cement.
  • The expansion relation will vary depending on resistance to compression of the final product.
  • Profitable solution that saves time and ensures adequate cavity filling.

Uses

  • Cavity filling may require production stoppage and mineral extraction; in this case, production can continue with fewer delays.
  • To reestablish safety in the work area, these cavities must be filled as soon as possible.

Stopping plugs

Old or abandoned work areas that do not fulfill ventilation standards must be hermetically isolated from the ventilation circuit and signage must be placed to prevent transit by personnel. Stopping plugs provide this isolation.

Benefits

  • Considerably reduce loss of fresh air.
  • Prevent cross-contamination with return air.
  • Prevents accumulation of gas (for example methane) by filling unventilated cavities. Old works are sealed off to prevent underground fires
  • It is possible to put out fires with these systems.
  • Considerable energy savings that improve the efficiency of the mine’s ventilation.

Use

  • Lightweight ventilation plugs and permanent ventilation plugs.

Resin supplies

Injection resins can be injected as systems with one or two components.  The properties of the product obtained depend on the raw materials used. The majority of systems can be modified for use or addition of catalyzers or other chemical reagents that modify the product’s behavior.

Benefits

  • Very fast, adjustable setting process.
  • Resistant to aggressive and corrosive environments.
  • Apt for contact with water.

Uses

  • Permanent consolidation of terrain.
  • Filling of cavities or empty spaces.
  • Stabilization of soil/terrain.
  • Rock stabilization.
  • Waterproofing – hydrostatic pressure.
  • Anchor systems.
  • Special systems for dams and TMB use.
  • Control of blasting excess
